Solution for conformity with norms for industry, communities, subdivisions…
Tubao features all the qualities needed to be a simple and efficient solution for conformity with norms for industry, communities, subdivisions…
A fire fighting reservoir is an artificial water reserve which allows fire fighters to autonomously deal with a fire for 2 hours. The interministerial circular #465 from December 1951 required all buildings to have a minimum of 120 cubic meters of water for fire fighting and rescue services.
Today, no volume is required and varies according to each site’s characteristics, which means great diversity of sites. Local communities, businesses and individuals must fulfill this obligation. Only the SDIS (Department-based Fire and Rescue Service) are authorized to approve these installations.
Our fire fighting reservoirs target all fire fighters bound by this legal obligation requiring them to install water reserves to cover fire fighting risks: subdivisions, industries, local communities, business parks (activity zones, industrial parks…), homes for the dependant elderly (EHPAD), hospitals, buildings open to the public, environmental protection installations (ICPE). Equipped with a power supply flange or a float valve, the fire fighting reserve is always filled with water.
In case of fire, easy connection is possible by way of a suction hose equipped with a Guillemin coupling, direct draw, or fire post. An integrate vent prevents loss of pressure and reduces suction loss. An inlet filter at the suction base, which can be equipped or not with a non-return valve, protects pumping equipment of fire fighting services. The resistance of Tubao tubes is calculated according to SETRA rules (Road and Motorway Engineering Study Department) to ensure they withstand all roadway loads (with no load distribution slab even beneath heavy roadways, refer to installation conditions notice). Therefore, the mandatory access platform for implementation equipment and handling (motopumps) can be built directly above the tank. The most common diameters used for fire fighting reservoirs are 2,500 mm and 3,000 mm. However, our standard production sizes range from 800 to 3,400 mm.

In addition to our regular capacity reservoirs which range from 60 to 120 cubic meters and are always in stock, we can produce for any volume and fit the reservoirs with whatever accessories your project might require:
Foot valve
Strainer
Float valve ND 32 to ND 100
Power supply flange
Vent
Suction pit
Hydrant
Connection kit
Surface-mounted or trap-mounted suction extensions
Tubao underground tanks have many advantages over open basins and aboveground tanks:
Easy implementation because they are completely accessible
Infinite volumes possible starting from 10 cubic meters
Fast on-site installation
Constant water temperature and lack of light limit various types of growth
Reduced risk of accidents
Fewer drawbacks due to frost and evaporation
No environmental or esthetic issues
No exterior maintenance
